Rhodesian teak has a very high degree of resistance to abrasion
and weighs an average of 920kg/m3 at 8% moisture content.
Rhodesian teak has a hardness rating of 1593O N on end surface
and 13455 N on side grain, which is more than double that of European
oak and ash. It has a maximum shearing strength parallel to the
gain of 16N/mm2.
TARGET™ hardwood flooring are made of Rhodesian teak know as
mukusi only found in the region of southern Africa. It produces
two distinct colors of timber when sawn and processed. The colour
of the hardwood is chestnut brown and sapwood is pale cream both
the color matures to a rich dark red and delicates pink.
The logs used by TARGET™ hardwood flooring, are cut at a specific
volume to ensure a sustainable long term teak timber life. The
logs are processed in the company saw mills to ensure that the
raw material for the flooring is of the best quality and resistance.
